I have had a cord unit for many years and it was falling apart. I like the Worx GT Trimmer, it can do the whole yard 1/4 arce with no problem. I have alot of gardens, stone borders, etc and it has been find. I have yet to replace the spool, which was a suprise considering the size of the spool. I am buying the Worx Lithium Ion blower because now I am spoiled not having to deal with a cord. This trimmer saves me alot of time.

You also get a unit that gives you a well manicured lawn. I was clueless at how to use this. but I got the hang of it. My husband would let the lawn go for weeks. So I decided to take it into my own hands. All the equipment I bought was so heavy I needed light weight tools. So Worx seemed to fit the bill. I bought my tools and got to WORK.
My self propelled key start lawn mower *Not Worx, was doing a great job but to get on the curbs was scary. I didn't want to fall with the mower (Small woman). So I got the trimmer and wow, now my lawn is even the edges are sharp and it isn't heavy nor does it take a rocket science to figure it out. I don't shake like with the gas one or get shoulder pain. There is no priming or filling it up with gas or annoying loud noises. Did I mention no Shakes.

Lightweight, Easy Operation
I have used a Black & Decker corded trimmer/edger and a lightweight gas trimmer. There is no comparison to the ease of operation with this Worx trimmer/edger. I used it the day it arrived and was amazed that the line never once became jammed. I edged/trimmed both my back and front yards The next day I edged along a sidewalk area that hadn't been trimmed in over a year. Even then, it didn't run out of line. The power is more than sufficient to do the work I need. I purchased an additional battery, which I would recommend. I am extremely pleased with this trimmer/edger. It is so lightweight and easy to use. In the past, it took more time fix the line and load it than doing the trimming and edging. This Work GT is so functional, lightweight and easy to use. I couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommend!

after pondering for about a year after seeing the infomercial I decided to buy it. The main selling point was its light weight, Battery Operated and the wheeled edger. After using it for about 2 months I am very satisfied with this baby. The other reviewesr point out that it is not very powerful. I would agree but it is powerful enough for my needs and I love its versatility and that it does not kill my shoulder plus it is very quite. I love that I can recharge the battery in 30 min. First I was not sure that was a big deal but I recommend you spend the extra $ and get it with the fast charger. I am also very surprised that the helix sting cuts that well and last that long. With my black and decker I was using like 10 feet every time I cut my lawn while the worx has used probably about 1 or 2 feet instead. Its design it is also very stylish. I love the wheels on the edger. You do need to go back and forward in those places where the edge is high but other than that it does a good job. I hope it lasts me for 5+ years at least. As long as you are not expecting professional looking results and have less that 1/3 acre site then you will be very happy with it. I also go the blower and trimer. For $50 extra bucks I said: why not? I will review those in their respective categories.

Very happy with runtime and power
I'm able to get the advertised runtime from the WORX trimmer even while running it through very high grass. (which it turns into liquidy green goo) It also charges quite rapidly. When the charge runs out the trimmer stops immediately without fading like my Beard Trimmer. Don't use the string trimmer to clean up your beard though because it turns out it really hurts. In the time it takes to sweep or rake up the clippings the battery is fully charged again. I would have given the trimmer 5 stars except for the fact that I had to run the trimmer repeatedly over a few spots on the edge of my lawn to trim it back. This is the first string trimmer I have ever owned or operated however so perhaps I will find a way to operate the trimmer more effectively. I was able to shove it right into a patch of tall grass and thick weeds and it had no problems. I had concerns that cordless trimmers wouldn't be able to cut through my thick weeds but the WORX does it without flinching. I had initially thought about buying a corded trimmer, but I'm glad I didn't. I have a corded mower and I'm constantly having to flip the cord around like Indiana Jones does with his whip.

Believe me I was apprehensive about making this purchase.Being petite & having the handle adjust like this was one selling point. Read a lot of reviews here, glad I made purchase.So far ease of handling & trimming around trees, ornaments, base of house,it's terrific.Weighs next to nothing,guard protects base of trees, etc. They are right when they say, works right out of box...put battery on charger and ready in few mins. First time use, lasted long enough for yard work. Next time, more area, battery needed to be charged. Didn't take more than 45 mins. Since that happened, invested in another battery. One goes on charger, work trimmer/edger, then switch batteries.Great purchase.So far so good.Thanks Amazon for quick delivery and no hassles. Also, hangs out of the way, perfect lawn tool for me. I had seen the TV ads for this trimmer a few times and finally decided to give it a try. This product is just what is promised: light-weight, efficient, medium-duty trimmer/edger. Ordered the L-Ion battery and can trim out my half-acre yard once and a half before a recharge. Swivel the business end and roll on the wheels for a clean (and easy) edge on my front walk. It's simple to adjust the length of the shaft and the angles of the handle and the trimmer itself for balance and comfort. Light enough to do the whole yard without fatigue too. No problems with the line feed at all. AND... I took it down the street and trimmed around everyone's mail box posts! This is not for professionals, but absolutely sufficient for those of us who keep our own yards...
