As more and more farmers decide to grow organic produce, the prices will go down.  When organics become an industry standard, the section in your supermarket will expand and with many more choices.  Until that time it is very easy to grow some veggies in pots on a patio, in your backyard or even in window boxes.  Just make sure the seeds you start with are not seeds from genetically modified foods.
