Tools for watch bracelet adjustments
Watch bracelets are important parts of watches. There are many kinds of workmanship required on them and watchmakers have tools to assist them in this task like filing and cutting blocks, holding blocks, presses and punches.
The Bergeon bracelet filing block is a tool that can be held in a vice. It is made of superior quality material and is stable. When a bracelet is placed on this, the ends can be easily filed to fit in the band. This tool can be used with most standard sized bracelets as it has 12 grooves. With the A&F bracelet screw holding base, the watchmaker gets a tool that makes changing straps and bracelets a very simple task. This tool is made of aluminium and has a non slip base with the most popular screw sizes that can be replaced with ordinary screw driver blades.
The bracelet screw holding 6730 from Bergeon is used for screwing and unscrewing bracelets. It is made out of brass and has a base with a diameter of 70 mm. It comes with 4 screw driver blades 1, 1.4, 1.8 and 3 mm. It is stable, has a working blade whose height can be adjusted and comes with a rubber protection on top which can be removed. Bergeon 6744-P is a plastic bracelet shortening block. It comes with small and large slots. It is very popular because of its durability. It has spaces to eject pins and is designed for use with presses. For precious metal bracelets, there is Bergeon 6744-P-S. It provides a soft base and prevents scratches. This too comes with small and large slots. The Bracelet Holding Block Standard Slots is made of tough plastic and can be used to secure watch bracelets of different sizes while they are being adjusted.
The Horotec Bracelet Adjusting Screw Push is a Swiss made tool for adjusting bracelets. It has a simple screw operation that makes it safe for bracelets preventing scratches and other damages to the bracelet. This tool has a sturdy hard plastic base, a Stainless Steel push pin and a knurled adjustment screw made of stainless steel. The Horotec Multi Purpose bracelet press is a useful addition to a watchmaker’s tool set. It is useful to punch out links from bracelets, pull out or drive in screws and adjust bracelets on the block. This set has an upper driving punch, rear Heavy Duty screw driver with blade, lower fitting with adjustable screwdriver blade, block to adjust bracelets, punches to drive out bracelet pins, screwdriver blades to remove bracelet screws and a nylon holder for blades. The tool has 2 large rear pillars that make it stable and it is made of heavy duty steel. The punch and screwdriver fittings are also in stainless steel. With the Horotec Screw holding Base bracelet screws can be adjusted easily and changing straps is made simple. This tool is made of aluminium and has a non slip base.
